NGO Partnership for Three Seas Initiative launched!

The Three Seas Initiative was created as a response to the needs of deepening the integration of European countries. In the twenty-first century, there are new problems and challenges that cannot be faced by individual states. Complementary activities for the development of cooperation resulted in the inclusion of the third sector in international cooperation.

“The topic of non-governmental organizations and social life has so far remained beyond the main focus of political decision-makers. Therefore, as social workers associated in the Institute of Work and Education in Gliwice, we decided that it would be an interesting idea to transfer our experience to the international level and create an NGO Partnership for Three Seas Initiative. In this way, we want to provide a space for the exchange of international experiences, and at the same time give a lasting effect of our work. The Three Seas Federation of NGOs will be able to initiate initiatives reaching the entire region between the Adriatic Sea, the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea” – Artur Tyński, project coordinator.

From 19.07.2021 until 27.07.2021 an international seminar will be held, attended by representatives of non-governmental organizations from the Three Seas countries. On Monday, July 26, 2021, the International Conference will take place, during that event the letters of intent will be signed as an establishment for Three-Sea Federation of NGOs.

Many activists and experts from the Three Seas area are involved in the project:

Paweł Pawłowski – Chairman of the Council of the Warsaw Institute Foundation

Szymon Dziubicki – Director of the Civil Society Department at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister

Piotr Rydzewski – Chairman of the Youth Initiatives Foundation

Due to strong support of experts and people involved, we have managed to create a specific environment for the exchange of experiences and cooperation, which has the potential for great development to deepen integration and achieve new goals. Specialized personnel will ensure maximizing the effects of cooperation and the impact of the initiative’s activities on the international environment.

NGO Partnership for Three Seas Initiative is a public task financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland within the grant competition “Public Diplomacy 2021”
